Poor eyesight may be a symptom of depression
->
The psychologists from the University of Tel Aviv during a series of experiments have shown that people prone to depression are having poor eyesight. The ophthalmology established inverse dependence – if their patients did not have glasses, they risk falling into a deep dejection.

Dr. Uri Polat of the Goldschleger Eye Institute
The scientist from Israel studied 32 patients suffering from depression. Test participants to consider a series of special pictures. People have seen fragments of images are not clearly or do not notice them at all. The researchers think that this is part of the brain centers responsible for processing visual information: depression degraded possible image.
The chief of investigation Dr. Uri Polat concluded that a visual test makes accurate diagnosis of depression in 100% of cases. The scientists from Israel think that in the visual tests doctors will now be able not only to diagnose depression, but also to control the process of treatment with antidepressants. The period of monitoring the patient’s healing will be limited to a few days instead of months, as it was before.
There is an inverse correlation, which has long been noticed ophthalmologists: people with poor eyesight will suffer from depression, if not wear glasses. The point is that visual impairment affects light perception, and lack of sunlight leads to depression.
